What treatments does Spine Health & Wellness offer?

Spine Health & Wellness offers spinal manipulation, spinal decompression, Aspen laser therapy, soft tissue therapy, physical therapy and exercise rehabilitation, along with home care plans, kinesiology taping and bracing when needed. Treatment protocols are overseen by our medical director, and most patients receive a combination chosen for their exam findings rather than one therapy alone.

Each treatment has a different job. Manipulation and mobilization restore joint motion. Decompression unloads discs and nerves. Laser therapy helps calm irritated tissue. Soft tissue therapy addresses tight or scarred muscle, and physical therapy and exercise build the strength that helps results last.

  • Spinal manipulation and mobilization
  • Spinal decompression for the neck and lower back
  • Aspen laser therapy
  • Soft tissue therapy and Active Release Technique
  • Physical therapy, work conditioning and joint replacement rehabilitation
  • Home care exercise plans, kinesiology taping and bracing

How does my provider choose the right treatment for me?

Your provider chooses treatment based on your exam: which tissues are involved, whether a nerve is irritated, how long you have had symptoms, your health history and your goals. Early care often focuses on calming pain, then shifts toward exercise and strength. Plans change at re-exams if you are not progressing as expected.

You are part of that decision. If you prefer to avoid a certain technique, such as neck manipulation, tell your provider. There is usually another way to reach the same goal.

Progress is tracked with the same tests used at your first visit, including digital range-of-motion measurement, so you can see what has changed. A typical plan moves through three stages: calming pain and irritation, restoring motion and strength, then building the habits and exercises that help keep the problem from returning.

  • Stage one: reduce pain and irritation
  • Stage two: restore motion, strength and control
  • Stage three: return to full activity with a home program

Are these treatments covered by insurance?

Many of these treatments are covered by health insurance when they are part of a documented plan, though coverage for decompression and laser therapy varies more between plans. Spine Health & Wellness accepts most major insurance plans. Please call (972) 556-5667 to confirm your benefits and any out-of-pocket costs before you start care.

After a car accident or a work injury, care may be covered through an accident claim or workers' compensation. Tell us how your injury happened when you book.

If a treatment your provider recommends is not covered, our team will tell you before it is provided so you can decide whether to go ahead, choose a covered alternative, or ask about other options.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to get adjusted to be treated at Spine Health & Wellness?
No. Spinal manipulation is one option, not a requirement. If you prefer not to be adjusted, or it is not a good fit for your health history, your Spine Health & Wellness provider can use gentle mobilization, soft tissue therapy, decompression, laser therapy and exercise instead. Tell your provider your preferences at the first visit so the plan reflects them.
Can I receive more than one treatment in the same visit?
Yes. Many visits at Spine Health & Wellness combine two or three treatments, such as laser therapy followed by soft tissue work and a few guided exercises, or decompression followed by rehabilitation. Combining treatments in one visit saves trips and lets each one support the next. Your provider decides the order based on your condition and comfort.
Which treatment works fastest for pain relief?
No single treatment works fastest for everyone. Some people feel quick relief from spinal manipulation or laser therapy, while disc-related pain may respond better to decompression over several sessions. Longer-lasting improvement usually comes from pairing pain relief with exercise. Spine Health & Wellness chooses the mix based on what your exam shows is driving the pain.
Are these treatments drug free?
Yes. Spinal manipulation, decompression, laser therapy, soft tissue therapy and physical therapy are all non-drug treatments. Some patients also need medication for a time, and the medical providers at Spine Health & Wellness can evaluate that when it is appropriate. Many people use non-drug care to reduce how much pain medication they rely on.
Can treatments be done if I am pregnant?
Some can, with changes. Gentle chiropractic care, soft tissue therapy and adapted exercise are often used during pregnancy with your obstetric provider's approval. Spinal decompression and laser therapy over the abdomen or lower back are generally avoided. Tell Spine Health & Wellness you are pregnant when booking so your provider can plan positioning and treatment choices.
How will I know if my treatment is working?
You should see measurable changes over a few weeks, such as less pain, better range of motion, improved sleep or an easier time with work and daily tasks. Spine Health & Wellness re-examines patients at regular points and compares the results with your first visit. If progress is not where it should be, the plan is adjusted or you are referred.
